WAR VII “Fruitless: Counterfeit Faith II”

*Mat 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Mat 7:16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Mat 7:17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. Mat 7:18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Mat 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Mat 7:20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.*

Changing fruit Examples: We purge some sin but not all sin.

*Changing the fruit without changing the tree:*
Moralistic- You have to earn your way to heaven.
Legalistic- You have to judge to justify

*Changing the tree in order to change the fruit:*
Holistic- Everything changes

*How to change the tree:*
Change seeds with repentance.
*Mat 3:8 Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.*

*How to grow the tree:*
Pruning
*Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.*
*Rev 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.*

We have to stop the futile attempt of changing fruit. We need to examine and change the tree.

*Joh 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.*
