War III “Strongholds”

War III “Strongholds”
Intro: Strong hold definition
*-A place of refuge*
*-A place of power*
*-A place of origin*

Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Mat 19:22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Jdg 6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, *O mighty man of valor.*” Jdg 6:14 And the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?” Jdg 6:15 And he said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the* least in my father's house.”*
*Some of the symptoms-*
*I am worthless*
*I am an addict*
*I am depressed*
*I have no hope*
*I have a cycle of sin*

You have to ask the question…Why?

Mat 12:29 Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

- If you want to take back the stronghold you must first take the one who holds it and know how he got it

_*Fighting a Stronghold*_
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 2Co 10:4 *For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh* but have* divine power *to destroy *strongholds.*
*1. The outer wall (The weapon of your mind)*
2Co 10:5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and *take every thought captive* to obey Christ,

*2. Taking the fortress (Weapon of Authority)*
Mat 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever* you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven,* and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

*3. Keeping the fortress*
Mat 12:43 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Mat 12:44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Mat 12:45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”
