WAR V - "Rejection"

War V “Rejection”

The most effective weapon you can have in your spiritual life is knowing who you are in Christ.
When you know who you are in Christ:

* you cannot enter into condemnation Romans 8:1
* Obedience is the only expectation on you
* How you love determines your spiritual relationship level with Christ
* Your past cannot affect your present or your future
* freedom to be who God made you

But Satan:
Somewhere along the way Satan had a lie placed on you:

* You were given an expectation that could not be met
* You assumed a persona because of abuse or tragedy
* You were told things about you that were not true
* You accepted a worldly standard as a means to your personal growth

The result-REJECTION
-A rejection spirit creates a stronghold. That stronghold deals directly with your recognition of your worth.

When your worth or value is threatened, you will do all you can to preserve it:

* Place yourself in a place where you cannot fail
* Create a false persona for others to see
* Refusal of accountability
* False justification of your disobedience
* A form of godliness but lack of the power

Destroying this stronghold:

1. Lean into your fear of failure
2. Confession and accountability
3. Rebuke the lie and embrace the truth

*Joh 10:7* So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
*Joh 10:8* All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
*Joh 10:9* I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
*Joh 10:10* The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
*Joh 10:11* I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
*Joh 10:12* He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
*Joh 10:13* He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
*Joh 10:14* I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
*Joh 10:15* just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
